Cooperation partner and technological foundation
The berlinHistory app brings the multi-layered history of Berlin onto the smartphone: location-based, multimedia and freely accessible. Since 2019 the team around Rainer E. Klemke has been developing this app — supported by the city of Berlin, Stiftung EVZ, the Federal Foundation for Culture and many local initiatives.
The NaziCrimesAtlas is built on the technical platform of berlinHistory. The shared architecture enables location-based research, georeferenced pins, multimedia content and offline use. The collaboration with berlinHistory e. V. — concept, technology, editorial workflow — is one of the pillars of the project.
