Riots against Jews during the pogrom on 9/10 November 1938 in Horb. The NSDAP district leader of Horb arrived at his residence in Nagold from Stuttgart on the night of 9/10 November 1938, where the NSDAP Gauleitung Stuttgart had already called for him several times. He called back and received the order from the Gauleitung to set fire to the synagogues in the district of Horb. The SA was to be used for this endeavour. He contacted the district leader, but he refused to take part in the order. The NSDAP district leader travelled to Horb, where he discussed with an accomplice how to proceed. Another perpetrator was instructed to come in his car. This perpetrator was unable (or unwilling) to say who was travelling with him. On the night of 9/10 November 1938, the shop windows of Jewish businesses in Horb were smashed and one shop looted. A school class led by a teacher broke into the prayer room in a bookseller's house to demolish the prayer room. One perpetrator was present when many of the furnishings in the prayer room, such as books, scrolls and parts of benches, were carried out and set on fire. After the police arrived, pupils and other people disappeared.
