Augsburg 2025

From 9 to 12 July 2025 the network meeting of the NaziCrimesAtlas took place at Bahnpark Augsburg. Fifty participants from across Germany — from initiatives, educational institutions, memorial sites and research — came together to discuss the NaziCrimesAtlas as a digital tool for strengthening local memorial culture and participatory public history.

Welcome by Markus Hehl (Bahnpark Augsburg) and introduction by Wolfgang Hauck. Keynote by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Winfried Nerdinger: „Place and memory". Panel discussion with Wolfgang Hauck, Oliver Brentzel and Rainer Klemke: „Digital public history with apps".
Friday, 11 July 2025
Lecture by Prof. Martin Stummbaum: „Memorial culture as social-work practice". Tours of the Bahnpark and the Hochfeld district.
Saturday, 12 July 2025
Excursions — Augsburg city tour (places of remembrance) and tour of the Kaufering VII concentration-camp sub-camp.

Berlin 2024 — project launch

On 10 December 2024 the project „Nazi Crimes Atlas — Digital Atlas of Nazi Crimes" was presented to the public at the German Resistance Memorial Centre in Berlin. Wolfgang Hauck and the historian Dr. Edith Raim introduced the project.
